About Boss Auto Works Service in Leigh, near Wigan

At Boss Auto Works Service, we combine everyday vehicle care with specialist performance and diagnostic expertise, all from our workshop at Firsdale Industrial Estate in Leigh, near Wigan.

Owned and run by Andy Hill, who brings over 20 years of dealer training and experience, the business has grown from a small repairs and maintenance garage into a large, well-equipped workshop still focused on those core services but also specialising in performance tuning, remapping, and advanced diagnostics.

We work on most makes and models, including cars and vans up to 3.5 tonnes, with particular strength in German marques such as VW Group vehicles and BMW. Alongside routine servicing and repairs, we’ve built a strong reputation for advanced diagnostics and performance tuning. With access to dealer-level equipment, specialist software, and tools such as smoke testing for boost and fuel leaks, we’re able to identify faults that are often missed elsewhere.

While performance work is a key part of what we do – recognised by our 2025/2026 award as Remapping Company of the Year – we’re equally focused on the day-to-day needs of our customers. From brakes, suspension, and exhausts to turbochargers, DPF and EGR cleaning, and AdBlue systems, we provide a complete, dependable service under one roof.

Customer service is at the heart of everything Boss Auto Works Service do. We believe in being transparent, fair, and straightforward, offering honest advice and recommending quality parts without unnecessary upselling. With quick turnaround times, a personalised approach, and the option of Payment Assist, we make maintaining your vehicle as simple and stress-free as possible.

Whether you’re local to Leigh or travelling from further afield across the North West of England, Boss Auto Works Service is here to help.
